Happy Tuesday.
I have a Christmas card for you today that I made for the Inkspirational Challenge #335. I had just received my Wrapped with Love box of goodies from Simon Says Stamp and saw this wonderful paper graom Graphic 45 called Deck the Halls that was included with the kit. Serendipitously I also received a wonderful little oval shaped die as a Christmas gift from The Greetery that fit the images perfectly. Interestingly enough, when I saw the gift I had no idea what I would do with it and, there I was not 10 minutes later creating a card with it!
Here’s a sneak peek:

Not normally the paper I would choose to buy, but I do love the images and they were perfect for the challenge.
Here’s the challenge badge:

I loved all those tags and traditional images from the mood board and those are what inspired my design.
The card came together very easily as I die-cut the images with my new die and backed them with a couple of extra die-cut pieces to give them more strength.
I then arranged them on my card base and adhered them. I added a sentiment from The Greetery Sentiment Suite: Christmas and adhered the focal panel down to a blue card base.
Here’s my card:

Those images just send me back to my childhood when Christmas cards came with “old-fashioned” elements sprinkled with a little glitter and flocking!
I know the talented team across at Inkspirational would love you to play along with their mood board, I know I had fun playing with it.
I’ll be back tomorrow with a card I made for Sunday Stamps. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:
- Die: The Greetery
- DSP: Deck the Halls – Graphic 45
- Sentiment: Sentiment Suite: Christmas – The Greetery
Hugs

Wow! The paper is definitely old-fashioned and traditional, but your card is old-fashioned with a new look! I love this! Great use of both products, Jaydee, and I can’t imagine them used any better than this.
I think this layout is awesome, perfect for the papers you chose and I do see how it’s linked with our challenge. Thanks for sharing with us at Inkspirational.
Hello Jaydee – your lovely, stylish patterned papers/grid style card is a Top Pick over at Inkspirational! Congratulations – and thank you so much for joining us. Our current challenge is Stencils; hope to see you in the gallery.
