Altenew Pack Your Bags for Time Out Challenge #307

Happy Thursday. It’s another photo inspiration challenge across at Time Out this week and we have a very feminine color scheme to play with. The minute I saw the photo I thought of all the times I have packed a makeup bag for my travels, and I remembered that I had a piece of DSP stashed away that might just work for the photo! As my mind had gone to travels, I immediately pulled out the Pack Your Bags and Enjoy the Flight dies from Altenew.

Here’s a sneak peek:

I haven’t seern many travel inspired sets so I knew I had to have these as soon as I saw them. Oh, and here’s our inspiration photo courtesy of our fabulous sponsor this week:

Kim is our generous sponsor this week and she is offering up this fabulous bag as a prize to the winner of our challenge. You can see more of Kim’s fabulous designs in her etsy shop.

I think you will see the inspiration of the lilac, polka dots and blue in my card. I thought the DSP worked perfectly, even though it isn’t quite polka dots, but little flowers. I paired that with some SU cardstock and used the same colors for the roller bag, carry on, and even the plane livery!

I began with the background using the globe stamp that is included in the Enjoy the Flight stamp and die set. I then die-cut all of the elements from the luggage from the Pack Your Bags dies and put them and the plane together. I popped up the luggage and plane and added a simple sentiment.

Here’s my full card:

Isn’t that a fun set? Makes me want to go out and buy some fun luggage for my next trip! When I looked at this I realized that my mother would have definitely approved of this luggage. She always said lilac was my color because of my green eyes! So, Mom, this one is for you!

As always our fabulous design team have some great inspiration for you. It’s always fun to see how differently we are all inspired by the same image.

As a reminder, the winner of our challenge will not only get the opportunity to join us for a future challenge, but will also receive the fabulous back from Kim.

I’ll be back with another card tomorrow. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

  1. Your card is fabulous Jaydee, and the stripes and dots are evident from the photo. I love these products and might need to take a look at them, gee, thanks for enabling me! This is such a fun travel card idea and as always you designed the perfect layout!

  2. I can see why this set was so hard to pass up — the travel theme is a great one and your card is perfect! And who couldn’t use a bit of cute luggage?

  3. I want to take a holiday right now using this pretty pretty luggage, Jayudee!! What a wonderful creation and a great take on the photo challenge! All the clever details, colours and choice of papers make it a real standout! I love everything about it!! 🙂

  4. 🤩 wow, what a fabulous card! Wish I could jet away from all this dreary wet February weather – especially if I had a set of luggage that looked this good!
