Spellbinders Speedometer Dies for Paper Players Challenge #768

Happy Sunday.

It’s our first Paper Players challenge of 2026 and our fabulous host LeAnne has a masculine (well that’s the way I saw it anyway!) color scheme. I decided the colors were perfect for a birthday card I had to make to celebrate my friend John’s upcoming birthday!

I love the Spellbinders Speedometer dies as you can arrange the speedometer to match the years being celebrated. I also love all the other details that come with the stamps.

Here’s a sneak peek:

I began by die-cutting the elements with navy, white and silver cardstock. For the speedometer I used blue ink blended to create the color I needed for the challenge. The card base, the outside rim of the speedometer and the dial were cut from Indigo cardstock. The other pieces were all cut from silver cardstock. I backed the speedometer with the silver cardstock as well.

The sentiment comes from the Cruisin’ By Sentiment set also from Spellbinders. I heat set that with white embossing powder.

Here’s my full card:

I just love this whole set from Spellbinders. I still have some of the other die sets to play with, but they will be making an appearance on my blog soon!

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Card recipe:

  • Dies: Speedometer – Spellbinders
  • Sentiment: Cruisin’ By Sentiments – Spellbinders

Hugs

  5. Jaydee, this is just the best! I love the speedometer. I LOL when I saw the number. What a great card to make for someone’s special day! This is the perfect card for the color combo! Have a great weekend, My Friend!
