We have another INSPO list for you across at Festive Friday this week as we celebrate the theme of Chinese New Year. As a reminder, you don’t have to follow the theme with our challenge, you just need to include three items from our INSPO list. I decided to follow the theme as I had this great set from Spellbinders called Good Fortune Horse.

Oh I love those rich reds and gold. Mind you, I am very partial to this whimsical horse, too!
Here’s our INSPO list for this challenge:
For my card I decided to go with red, gold, horse, and heat embossing.
First thing I did was take a piece of Lipstick card stock from Simon Says Stamp and then added some much darker red and brown inks over the outer edges. I wanted to calm down the brightness of the red so that the horse would stand out better. I left a slight halo of medium red around the middle of the card. I heat set the sentiment and then I die cut the pieces of the horse from metallic gold cardstock and lipstic red cardstock. I adhered the pieces together and then popped up the horse using foam squares.
