Jumbo Curiosity Buckeye Leaf for Addicted to CAS #230

Happy Saturday

It's the fabulous Sue's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and it was another excuse for me to pull out the Jumbo Curiosity Buckeye leaf die from The Greetery.  This time I used much more conventional fall colors! Here's a sneak peek:

I just love the detail on those dies.  As you can see, I added some splatters with brown and gold watercolor paints!

For my card, I die-cut and ink blended the buckeye leaf and then used the negative leaf to act as a stencil to add a little bit of shadowing behind the leaf.  I then popped the leaf on top of that – not before I splattered some brown and gold watercolor inks onto the leaf.  I was really tempted to add some to the base, but decided to keep it pretty clean and simple.  I added some Nouvo drops instead.
