Stampendous Peek You

Happy Wednesday.

I hope you are all having a good weekend and enjoyed the Labor Day weekend.  I have a card to share with you tonight that I made using the Paper Players sketch #606 from Anne Marie.  Well, I also used this sketch with a new set I bought for SendaSmile4Kids.  What a great excuse to have to buy more stamps :-). I loved this set from Stampendous called Peek You.  I paired it with the new Arches dies from The Greetery and some paper that I got as part of a "freebie" from Papercraft magazine.

Here's a little peek of the card :-). Isn't that the cutest little face:-)

I have no idea why it isn't in focus!  I promise when I captured it there was no distortion – but for some reason, the paste is doing something odd – and I did it three times!  Anyway, you get the idea

Here's my Peek You card:

I had such fun coloring him/her and I love the african feel of the papers – a perfect match for the giraffe.  Of course, I love the sentiment, too.  I've been lucky enough to see many, many, many giraffe in the years that I visited the parks in South Africa and they never, ever, ever, cease to amaze me.  They are amazingly graceful, incredibly zen and their tongues wrap around the leaves of the thorny acacia trees and captured the juicy green leaves as though the thorns were never there.  Just coloring this little image brought back so many wonderful memories.

On a personal note:

Well, I finished cataloging all my stamps.  Even though all my stamps are organized, I hadn't cataloged them recently.  It took forever to go through them all and capture images and then capture all the sentiments separately.  Now, when I need that "feel better" sentiment and can't remember what set I have that sentiment in, all I need to do is do an "edit/find" on my spreadsheet and I see them all!    And, Jeanne, I will definitely share some photos of my storage and organization.  My craft room has come along really well.  I haven't managed to get all my art work on the wall yet and I cannot get the lighting right, but I am thrilled that I still have somewhere special to call my own in the new apartment!

As I am off work this week, I will be back tomorrow with another card for you.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
