Sketchbook Roses for Addicted to CAS #227

Happy Saturday

It's the fabulous Helen's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and her code word inspired me to create a card using one of my favorite all time stamp sets called Sketchbook Roses from The Greetery.  Here's Helen's code word:

I decided to watercolor the roses and the background.  So, I used some hot pressed watercolor paper and some Daniel Smith watercolors.  Years ago, I bought a set of sample sheets on Amazon.  They really are amazing watercolors, but they are expensive – so the little sample sheets get used occasionally and have lasted me for ages!

I die-cut the roses, let the backgrounder layer dry and then die-cut it with my Nordic Frames die, also from the Greetery.  Here's my card:

All pretty, in pink :-)  I love how the card turned out and the bright pop of pink isn't something I would normally go with, but am so glad that Helen gave us this color as our code word this week!

The design team have some fabulous inspiration for you and I hope you will go check out their cards.  I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
