Cozy Cups for Paper Players #586

Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Anne Marie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week.  The colors that Anne Marie has chosen scared the check out of me……UNTIL I got out my copic markers and laid them down on a piece of white card stock.  OH…. then…. I LOVED them!  They are gorgeous together.  I was so tempted to do a floral card and it took all of my self control to do something different!

Luckily I needed a card for a friend who is really part of the "cafe culture" so I decided to base my card on my favorite The Greetery set – Cozy Cup.  In fact, it was this set that made me discover The Greetery at all!

I began with a base layer of pink using the Knit Wits stencil.  I then stamped and die-cut the elements of the cup, the leaf and the spoon.  I also added a DSP layer with the coffee mat.  As my friend is a lover of pink, I think she will appreciate this card.  For my neutral I used brown.  The brown is in the "coffee" and in the sentiment.

Here's my card:

Aren't those colors so pretty together?  I think so!  So, Anne Marie, thank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone!!!  I hope you will join us and play along with Anne Marie's color scheme this week.  We can't wait to see what you create.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you

On a personal note.

Well, the snow is ALMOST melted.  But, we did have snow overnight for a couple of night's this week!  So… the Junco's are still hanging around.  They know a few things!  We know, from experience, that when they are gone… spring really is on her way!  But, we still saw them this morning! 🙂

Lou and I are busy going through all of our "goodies".  From biking stuff to stamping stuff to clothes, shoes, linens and crockery.  We have almost finished the basement and the second floor.  Tomorrow we attack the main floor.  Then… there is the GARAGE!  I don't know about you, but our garage really is a collection point of stuff.   Considering we are reducing our footprint from 5000 square feet to 1500 – there is a lot of stuff to "purge".  The great thing is…. most of the stuff we are "purging" can be utilized by other families.  Whether it is books, game, sports equipment, cookery books, linens or kitchen stuff…..we know that someone will be able to enjoy what we can no longer enjoy – and that makes me happy. Our biggest wish is that the next inhabitants will enjoy the fabulous flora and fauna that  such  a part of our lives.

Hugs

Jaydee
