Forget Me Nots Signed & Sealed for Color Throwdown #655

Happy Sunday – again!

I made a card using the colors across at Color Throwdown this week

I loved this combo together – especially as the grey has a BV base and the mint really pops.  I thought my Forget me Not dies from The Greetery would be perfect.  They are fiddly to put together, but they certainly were worth the effort!

You don't need to do what I did either – you could just as easily use colored card stock and die-cut them directly.  I chose to blend my inks on Neenah White card stock to get the colors I needed – but colored card stock would have worked just as easily.  I stamped and die-cut an envelope from the Signed & Sealed set – also from The Greetery.  The little seal is also part of the same set – as is the green backing behind the flowers – the envelope insert.  I was inspired by the green wallpaper to add a little texture behind the flowers.  Here's my card:

If you look closely behind the envelope, I used my Knit Wits stencil – again! – to add a little more texture and to ground the focal elements.  Of course, I had to use my Postal Frame die… I just love that scalloped edging with the stitched border detail!

Lou and I were running around today, so I didnt get to spend any more time in my craft room, but am hoping to sneak in a quick play in there later in the week.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
