Happy Monday!
I escaped to my craft room yesterday and played around with my new goodies, including the set made for today's card: Prized Peony from the Stampin' Up!' 2020-2021 catalog. I saw this color challenge across at TGIF .
I went with a looser style than normal and layered pieces of Night of Navy, Bumble Bee (fabulous color btw!) and Crumb Cake on top of each other. But.. there just wasn't enough texture – so I ran the Crumb Cake thru my Big Shot with the Dazzling Diamonds embossing folder and the Bumble Bee through the Seabed. The white front panel was emossed with the Tasteful Textile ef. So, lot's of texture going on. I also mixed a little Crumb Cake Ink with a little Bumble Bee – and splattered that onto the white layer.Take a look:
I stamped the Prized Peony main flower in Night of Navy and die-cut it. I mounted that on top of the layers with foam. I added the sentiment and a little twine from the Playful Pets trim combo to finish off the card.
Normally, I like everything straight and organized. However, I decided to just go with it and have some fun and intentionally put the sentiment at an angle. OK! what happened to the real jaydee and when is she coming back?
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.
Hugs
Jaydee
