Happy Sunday!
It's the fabulous Anne Marie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week:
Such a bright and cheerful challenge and such a wonderful challenge badge montage by Nance! I decided to make a card for my collection for SendaSmile4Kids and pulled out a very old stencil from Tim Holtz and my most favorite ever freebie set from a card making magazine. I used my Nested Stitch Labels for the focal image and pulled out a very old stamp that came from a company that is no longer in business. It's such a wonderful font – and sentiment – and it's sad that you can't get it any more. I blended the ink on the base of the card and then placed the die-cut focal image over the top and blended that as well.
Here's my card:
I know you can't see it on this shot, but I did add a little shimmer and shine:
As always, the design team have some wonderful inspiration for you and I hope you will check out their blogs:
On a personal note:
I have had a lot of fun playing with my new SU goodies, so will have lots to share with you this week. Lou and I were sitting in the dining room on Thursday having dinner when we noticed that the hummingbird was bathing in the fountain! I rushed to get my camera and I am sorry that it isn't in focus, but it's hard enough to capture a photo of a hummingbird at the best of times, never mind when they are having a bath!!! We have only ever seen this twice before – once in our old fountain in our old house – and now this. He came two nights in a row!
Look at those little wings in motion!
I'll be back later with some more cards. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.
Hugs
Jaydee

Adorable birdie and card too! Made me smile.
Love the stenciled background…and the sweet images! Really cute card.
This is such a sweet card Jaydee! Love those soft sun rays and the charming bunny and duck under the umbrella!
Your shot of the hummer taking a bath is spectacular! We had many of them in our backyard in Oregon (they could winter over there, so we saw what we assumed were generations) but never saw them take advantage of our bird bath. My husband was thrilled to see your photo. Thank you for sharing it!
Beautiful picture and the card is adorable. The gardener was watering the garden and one of the joints was leaking and there was some water; it was beautiful to see a bird taking a bath . . . my husband and myself really enjoyed that moment!! Thanks Jaydee!!
Such a sweet card, Jaydee! I especially love the sun rays in the background and those cute critters just make me smile. Your little hummingbird looks like he is having a grand time in the fountain. We actually just added a bird bath to our yard last weekend and the blue jays have been loving it, especially with the Texas heat.
What a great design, Jaydee! I love the sun rays. This image is just too cute!
Jaydee, this is the sweetest card! I love the stenciled rays of sunshine and the little bunny and duck! This card will make someone smile! I love the hummingbird picture–in focus or not, it is fabulous! Have a great weekend, My Friend!
Such a cute card, love those rays of sunshine.
Oh my goodness – this is so stinkin’ cute! Love it! 🙂
