HI Everyone.
Happy Monday. Well, today was supposed to be the start of my staycation. MMMM… I ended up working all day, so was not able to get into my craft room. However, I do have a card I made yesterday using the theme across at CAS on Fridays
I've used this set from SU several times with a softer, girly feel. This time, I decided to add a little drama and use my colored pencils on black card stock. SOmething I never do…. but think I will be doing again 🙂
I embossed the image using white embossing powder and then colored it with my Prismacolor pencils. I added the black layer to a white background and then white embossed the sentiment onto black card stock. Here's my card:
I love how the white and the colored pencils pop off that black background. I really need to try this technique again with some other images.
I am hoping to get into my craft room tomorrow, and also to get outside to try and spot some animals/birds to take photos of. I'll hopefully be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift – and stay safe.
Hugs
Jaydee
