Hi Everyone.
Happy Thursday!
Hope you had a fabulous stampin day!
A quick post for you all tonight. I haven't posted a card using the Stampin Up A Happy Heart set before. I decided to use it for a new challenge. Inksipration Sketch Challenge #11. Makeesha is a very talented lady "down-under" and I'll be doing more of her challenges. Check out her website 🙂
I liked the circles and squares in this sketch. I decided to not do a literal circle on the top right hand of the sketch, but to use a stamp which had a circular element to it. Those of you who are following my blog, and who know me personally, know that I tend to stick to fairly clean cards and this layout was ideal for that.
Here's the sketch for the challenge:

I love the sentiment from this stamp set…. who wouldn't want a Happy Heart! 🙂
On the personal front: it's been a really busy week at work and I've had much less time than I would like to play. However, my favorite man in brown delivered a little box for me today. I swear – I look more forward to the arrival of the UPS man (in fact I recognize the sound of his truck from about a mile away!) than I ever did Father Christmas. Mind you, I'm not sure if Bailey (my cat… you can see him on this post) doesn't appreciate the arrival of the UPS man more than I…… He gets to play with the paper, the wrapping, and inspects everything in the box (whilst purring VERY loudly) to make sure that everything meets his approval! 🙂
As always, I hope you have a day full of time to do the things you love – with those you love!
Peace and hugs
Jaydee
Card: A2
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Ruby Red. (I chose the Ruby Red because of the softer tones than found in the Real Red and thought it was idea with the Artichoke). The image was stamped on Whisper White.
Ink: I used Real Red and Old Olive to ink up the flower and the stamped the flower. Then I masked the flower off and inked up the sentiment with Old Olive classic ink. I inked and stamped the image and the sentiment separately, as that allowed me to position the flower where I wanted it.
I really love this stamp set as it's versatility takes it beyond just a Valentine's day set. (111758).
I chose to ink the image, sentiments and "embellishment hearts" in Real Red and Old Olive to make
pop against the softer Ruby Red and Always Artichoke.
