Happy Sunday – again 🙂
I have a quick post to share a card I made for the latest challenge across at FreshlyMadeSketches. The sketch has an interesting 3 horizontal line element and I decided to use my chevron stencil to create that in the background. For the focal image I used a set from Altenew called Dynamic Duo: Bird on Bloom. I didn’t use the bird for this card, but I used the florals and they are some of my favorite ones. We have multiples growing in our garden 🙂
Here’s a sneak peek:

And here’s the sketch from FMS:

To create my card I used the stencils from the set and then added more texture and color with pencils. I used the matching dies to die-cut the florals and added 4 blank die-cuts underneath to give the florals some strength and to pop them off the base.
Prior to adhering the focal image and adding a sentiment, I used my chevron stencil and some blue ink to create the horizontal elements. Here’s my full card:

I know the team across at FMS would love for you to play along and you have until tomorrow to do so. I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Beautiful card, Jaydee! I love everything about it. Enjoy your day!
This is gorgeous! Love your colors and the chevron definitely gives movement and interest in the background. Have a great day!
These flowers are gorgeous! I love how you used the chevron stencil as your horizontal elements, so clever! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Jaydee, your very subtle [so very pretty] stenciled strips are such a beautiful way to represent Narelle’s strips! And those coneflowers, colors, and sweet little sentiment pulled all my heartstrings!
Thanks so much for playing cards with FMS this week! I hope to see you again very soon!
