Happy Monday.
I hope you all had a great weekend. It was a truly glorious weekend here with temps near the 90s. Today, the temps have dropped nearly 30 degrees and it’s a nice and chill-ish 60 degrees! It’s beginning to feel much more like fall 🙂
I got to spend a little time in my craft room today and played along with two challenges. I received my new Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit and decided it would work for both the photo/color inspiration from Altenew and the sketch from Atlantic Hearts.

When I stamped the images and colored them I had originally intended to use orange, but it just didn’t work with the orange/gold of the honey jar. So, I introduced a little pink for the florals instead.
I inked up the florals with the Honeycomb Haven stencil and die-cut them with the matching no-waste die. I stamped the honey jar and lid and then fussy cut it. I added a sentiment from the same stamp set to the middle of the jar. It took ages to decide what color background to put the focal image on. Once I had finally decided on black, I couldn’t work out whether to use the sketch horizontal or vertical!
In the end I went with horizontal. Here’s my card:

Beautiful florals, and the coral-ish color looks amazing with your golden honeypot! The black background allows the other colors to stand out well — beautiful!
