Botted Up Budding Beauties Summer for Freshly Made Sketches

Happy Sunday, again! 🙂

I managed to play in my craft room today and went looking for some inspiration across at the challenge sites.  I saw this great sketch across at Freshly Made

The tall vertical panel made me think of Bottled Up from The Greetery, so I went with that!  I die-cut the two vertical panels using MFT dies and left the square empty for my sentiment.  I know you can't see it, but I did use my Knit Wit stencil on both vertical panels.  It's much more noticeable on the right hand panel, but I promise you it is there on the left side, just much more subtle.

I die-cut the bottle and flowers and added a sentiment from The Greetery.  I added some foam dots behind the elements to give a little depth.  Here's my card:

I will be back tomorrow with another card.  Before I go, here's a look at what has been visiting the bird feeder:

The pileated woodpecker never ceases to amaze me.  They make me happy when I see them – and when I hear them.  They always announce their arrival in the back yard by banging their beaks on an old bird box.  It's a pretty large box so has a very resonant sound.  They call, bang on the bird box – and go to the feeder – via a quick stop in the tree – just like the female below.  It's hard to tell from their photos, but these are BIG birds.  They are almost the size of a crow and have a wing span of nearly 30".  If you want to learn more about the pileated – you can check them out at this link.  This female was just starting to move to make her way to the feeder when I captured this shot, so she's slightly out of focus.  But… she's still amazing!

I'll be back with another card tomorrow, in the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
