Crystal Snowflake for Time Out Challenge #304

Happy Thursday.

Well, I get to play along with another Time Out Challenge this week. I’ve always loved playing along with the Time Out team, well I am beyond excited to tell you that I will be playing along with every challenge going forward. Towards the end of 2025 I was invited to become a permanent design team member. I think you can guess how long it took me to say a resounding (and excited) YES! My thanks to Nonni and the team – I am honored to be a part of this fabulously talented team.

Our first challenge of the year is kindly sponsored by Gina K The winner of our challenge will receive a $25 store credit, and I can tell you from having won a couple of store credits from Gina K, the winner is going to have so many great things to choose from!

Talking about winners. We are thrilled to have Heather Heroldt from Handmade by Heather as our guest designer for this challenge. I hope you will pop along to her blog and leave her a little blog love.

For my card I used elements from the January 2025 Simon Says Stamp card kit. I used the Crystal Snowflake die and the Pixie Snowflake embossing folder. I just LOVE this embossing folder.

Here’s a sneak peek:

You might notice lots of glittery goodness – that’s because our challenge this week is:

Kindly sponsored by:

Generally I am not one that uses a lot of glitter on my cards, but I thought this die deserved some glittery love. I die-cut it from some Spellbinders silver glitter cardstock and filled the hole in the top of the snowflake with a little more shimmer and shine with a rhinestone. I swear I have had those rhinestones in my craft stash for about 13 years!

For the background I embossed a panel of Neenah Solar White 80# cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp Pixie Snowflake embossing folder. I absolutely love the dimension and pattern on this embossing folder.

All I had to do for my card was pop up the snowflake in the middle of the embossed snowflake area. Here’s my card:

Isn’t that detail from the embossing folder just luscious?! I hope you will play along with us. We would love to see YOUR glittery creations. Don’t forget the $25 store credit from Gina K is up or grabs!

Also, don’t forget to check out the fabulous creations from our very talented, and geographically diverse, design team!

I’ll be back later in the week with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Card recipe:

  • Embossing folder: Pixie Snowflake – Simon Says Stamp
  • Die: Crystal Snowflake die and stencil – Simon Says Stamp
