Grateful Greenery for Paper Players #724

Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week.  We might have had a couple of inches of snow today, but LeAnne's color choices can only make me yearn for Spring.   I inked up a set from Pinkfresh Studio called Grateful Greenery for today's card.

Here's a sneak peek:

I love these soft colors.  Here is LeAnne's challenge:

I began by hot foiling the image with the press plate and some white foil.  I then colored the image with the matching stencils and finished by die cutting the image.

I wanted to add some interest to the background, so I took a hot foil plate and used it as an embossing folder instead of foiling it.  The background press plate is called Heart Grid and I just love the little hearts it leaves.

I used the same colors from the greenery on the base of the card to help carry the colors through.  I added a sentiment in the same color, instead of my usual black.  I thought the black sentiment would have just been too much.

Here's my card:

I hope you will join us and play along this week.  We'd love to see what you create with these colors.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Jaydee, this is GORGEOUS! I am amazed how you use that hot foil plate. The sweet background is perfect to showcase your greenery. Such a beautiful creation to showcase these colors! I hope you have a lovely week!

  2. Jaydee, is there nothing you can’t make amazing? Your foliage is marvellous all by itself but the clever ways you’ve carried the colour throughout the layers is just magic. Genius. I hope you have a great week. 🙂

  3. Beautiful, Jaydee! I adore the soft colors. The Heart Grid left such sweet impressions…the perfect backdrop for the foliage. The sentiment will make this card so special for the lucky recipient. Have a wonderful week!

  4. Oh, this is so pretty, Jaydee! You really made my colors work with this pretty image. The sentiment is beautiful too and I love the background detail. I don’t know how to do foiling, but it makes for a wonderful card!

  5. What a stunning card, Jaydee! I love every inch of it! The gentle leaf softly stenciled, the wonderful sentiment and the debossed hearts in the background, which is just such a sweet little detail. Sigh. So, so pretty!
