Pinkfresh Studio Floral Frenzy for Just Us Girls Challenge #794

Happy Thursday.

Sadly, this is my last week guest designing across at Just Us Girls. It’s been a wonderful month and a huge shout out of thanks to the very talented team for allowing me to play along with them for the last four challenges. I get to close out my guest designing with a fabulous set that was part of the Pinkfresh Studio August 2025 Create and Connect. It’s a wonderful set as it’s all stencils and dies. You stencil the images first and then use the die-cuts. The set is called Floral Frenzy and here’s a sneak peek:

Oh.. don’t you love those rich colors? Colors I would never use. However, the Color Cube from Sarah Renae Clark inspired me to get out of my comfort zone, yet again, and use some bright colors.

Oh… and here’s our challenge badge for this week:

Well, as it was anything goes week. I took that literally. Well, I am that kinda person. I do tend to take this very literally:-). I began with a piece of Neenah Solar White 110# cardstock and the stencils from the Floral Frenzy set. I then pulled out the inspiration card from the Color Cube and found some matching inks.

I creted the images with each of the stencils and then die-cut it with the matching die. The great thing about these items from Pinkfresh is that the die is a single die and cuts everything out all at once!

For my background I chose what has become my favorite all time blue cardstock from Spellbinders called Cosmic Sky. I just love how rich the blue is. It was the perfect backdrop for these rich colors and was also one of the colors on the card that I pulled from the Color Cube.

Anyone who has visited my blog in the past will know that I like to anchor single images like this. So I pulled out the trust chevron stencil that I got as part of the overflowing box of goodies that I got as part of the Jennifer McGuire crafty box. It’s one of my favorite stencils.

I added some color with Navy blue ink to give an almost tone-on-tone look and then mounted the florals with foam dots. I varied the height of them to give a little more interest.

Here’s my full card:

Looking at them you would never know that it was a stencil that created these gorgeous florals. The die-cut adds the extra dimension and then they pop. Love it!

Oh, and here’s a look at the inspiration card from the color cube and how it influenced my card:

The great thing about using inks to create the colors on white cardstock is that I can use the inks to create even more colors. Adding a little blue to the green, adding yellow over the orange, etc. gives me slightly different shades. The chevrons add just a little bit of interest in the background, help ground the florals and give a geometric feel to balance the soft outlines of the florals. And, again… that cardstock color might not quite fit the dark navy of the inspiration card, but it certainly helps set off those orange colors!

The design team have some fabulous inspiration for you, so I hope you will pop along and check out their blogs. Also, we would LOVE you to play along with the Anything Goes Stencil challenge this week. We would love to see how YOU are inspired.

Again, huge thanks to the Just Us Girls team for having me along this past month. I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
