Pinkfresh Studio Peaceful Perch for Just Us Girls Challenge #795

Happy Saturday.

The talented team across at Just Us Girls have a fun challenge for us this week. It’s die week and the word of the week is leaves! It was the perfect opportunity to ink up a new set that I received from Pinkfresh Studio for their Create and Connect class next weekend. It’s a fabulous set called Peaceful Perch and, as it contains lots of leaves – and uses a die – it seemed perfect for the challenge at Just Us Girls!

I began my card by stamping and then heat setting the image with clear embossing powder. I used the matching stencils to color in the leaves, ornaments and bird and then die-cut with the matching dies. The sentiment comes from another set that we will be using in the Create and Connect class next week and it’s called Woodland Wonder. I thought the “trimmed with love” worked perfectly with my image. I created a frame from the Waffle Flower Wood Frame dies and adhered three blank frames behind it to give it a little lift from the card base. I stamped the sentiment and then adhered the frame to the base. I slipped the leafy branches into one corner and decorated them.

I decided that I wanted to continue the bird and ornament theme to the inside. I stamped another sentiment from the Woodland Wonder set that says “wishing you a season of merry moments”. I love this sentiment! I stamped the sentiment and then added a die-cut ornament and another bird around the inside sentiment.
