Happy Tuesday.
I got to play in my craft room today and found a challenge across at Inspired By that peaked my interest. I loved the multiple squares with the pumpkins and also the beautiful fall colors. At first I just couldn’t work out what to do with the sketch and ended up making a card that finished up in the bin. So, I walked away, had a cup of coffee and then I remembered that I had a window from the Spellbinders City Vista die set that would work beautifully with some gorgeous papers from La-La Land called In the City. So, I paired those two things together for my card.
Here’s a sneak peek:

And here’s the inspiration photo from Inspired By:

For my take on the challenge I was inspired by the hello autumn sentiment that is in the photograph, plus all the colors from the pumpkins, and, the squares!
I die-cut the Vista View window from Indigo cardstock and then stamped the “hello autumn” sentiment and heat set it with white embossing powder.
I found just the right piece of DSP and put that behind my window, cutting off the area that I didn’t want. I then adhered the window to a second frame to give it just a little depth and secured it to my card base.
I decided there was so much wonderful detail in the DSP, that the window needed no other treatment. Here’s my card:

This DSP so reminds me of NYC or Brooklyn in Fall and I just love all those colors. The DSP has all sorts of wonderful city scenes depicting multiple seasons. I just love it and find myself hoarding it 🙂
I know the team across at Inspired By would love you to play along:-). I’ll be back with another card tomorrow. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:
- Dies: Vista View – Spellbinders
- DSP: La-La Land – In the City
- Cardstock: Indigo – Spellbinders
Hugs

What a creative take on the sketch, Jaydee! I love the LaLaLand papers and find myself hoarding them, too!
A window die is the perfect interpretation of the squares, and you found the best dsp available for that window! Beautiful
This is beautiful! I love how you used the sketch! Thanks so much for playing along at Inspired By!
