Spellbinders Dancin’ Penguin for Festive Friday Challenge #198

Happy Friday.

It’s another INSPO challenge across at Festive Friday this week and we are celebrating Christmas Jumper Day. Ah… Christmas jumper…. reminds me of my favorite Christmas movie – Bridget Jones’ Diary. I mean, who doesn’t love Colin Firth in that stupid jumper. Swoon! OK, back from day-dreaming, where was I? Oh yes, our challenge :-). For my card I pulled out my Spellbinder’s Dancin’ Penguin die and some polka dot DSP.

Here’s a sneak peek:

And here is our INSPO list for this week:

I began my card by die-cutting my little penguin. The great thing about these “Dancin'” dies is that they have a kinetic element as you can set up the die to have the little legs move backwards and forwards. I die-cut the top of the beanie, the scarf, the jumper and the skates from DSP and added those to my penguin. I placed him on a die-cut tag and added a sentiment from the Dancin’ Sentiments set.

For my background I decided to play up the polka dots by using a Simon Says Stamp stencil and some metallic paste. I die-cut a snow mound from an old die-set called Snowdrifts from The Greetery.

Here’s my full card:

INSPO list items used: Christmas colors, texture, jumper

I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge. We would love to see what YOU create using our INSPO list. As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
