Happy Monday.
I hope you all had a great weekend. I managed to find some time to play in my craft room in between fall decorating! I saw a great sketch across at Try A Sketch on Tuesday and decided it would work really well with my new Mini Musical Instruments and Musical Notes and Stave dies from Spellbinders. Mmmm. I think I might be just a little addicted to these dies as this is the 2nd time I have used them for a challenge in less than a week!

Oh…. and I didn’t use a white base for a change!
Here’s the sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesday:
It was the three lightbulbs that gave me the idea to use three of the Mini Musical instruments. I had a die-cut stave already in my stash. I die cut the trumpet from bronze colored metallic cardstock that I had a small piece of. I die-cut the guitar in 110# Neenah White cardstock and used my Copic markers to color in the individual elements. From the saxaphone, I used an old piece of textured metallic cream cardstock that I had and die-cut the mouth piece and the key work areas were cut with the same brone colored metallic cardstock as the trumpet.
I decided these colors needed a dark base and Spellbinders Indigo fit the bill perfectly. I used the Alexandra Renke All Music stamp set for the sentiment.

I honestly love these dies. I love the look of them, I love how versatile they are and I know they will be with me for a long time!
