Happy Saturday – again 🙂
As it is hot and humid here in our corner of Minnesota, I decided to hang out in the cool of my craft room. I went looking for some challenges and found a great one across at Just Add Ink. The challenge was a choose two challenge and I chose neutral colors and words:-). Absolutely zero stamping required on this card! I used the Spellbinders Snow Notes dies and some DSP from Rosie’s Studio called Peppermint Twist. Oh, and I also used my new favorite frame dies from Stampin’ Up! called Textured Notes. I am obsesed with these dies!
Here’s a sneak peek:

Now, I don’t generally make neutral Christmas cards, but I loved this paper so much, and it fit so well with the choices from Just Add Ink, that I decided to go all in on the kraft and white!
Here are the two choices from Just Add Ink:

I began with the snowman. I die-cut all the elements and then added a touch of dark orange for his nose, espresso for his arms and black for his buttons and mouth. I had such fun placing his little twig arms where I thought they should go. I don’t know about you, but reaching high notes is something I have to work at and find myself holding onto my diaphragm for dear life. I’m sure if I put my other arm up that might help, too:-). Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah. My card!
I used the Textured Notes dies to create a mat using a piece of the Peppermint Twist DSP and another for the focal panel in white card stock. I love that these days have a different frame for each size!
I layered up the craft, white and DSP pieces and then adhered my snowman with some foam tape. I added the Fa La La La La sentiment right underneath the snowperson. I die-cut the scarf to match the background DSP and loved that the DSP also says Fa La La La La!
Here’s my full card:

Seriously, these guys from this Snow Notes sets just make me smile. They are absolutely adorable! I know the team across at Just Add Ink would love it if you played along with their challenge.
Oh, and if you have had any problems accessing my site the last couple of days, hopefully those issues are sorted now. I had to spend two hours on line with the support time at my hosting site to get it fixed!
I’ll be back tomorrow morning with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:
- Dies: Snow Notes – Spellbinders. Textured Notes frames dies – Stampin’ Up!
- DSP: Peppermint Twist – Rosie’s Studio
Hugs

Jaydee, this is a super cute card! Love the combination of die-cut with the neutral colors and the simple Fa-la-la greeting. So glad you joined us this week at JAI. Cheers, Jolanda – Guest DT
