Happy Sunday.
It’s the fabulous Claire’s turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a fun theme for us. I must admit, I had to go buy something for this challenge as I had absolutely nothing, zilch, zero, donut, that would fit the challenge! Luckily Spellbinders was having a BOGO sale, so I was able to slip a die into my cart to fit the challenge. It’s called Woof or Treat and it is SO darned cute. I paired it with a stamp that I bought on Amazon (something I have only done a couple of times!)
Here’s a sneak peek:

Seriously, this die is so darned cute!
Here is Claire’s challenge for this week:

I find it amazing that out of the tiny little amount of supplies I have (yeah right!) I didn’t have anything to fit the challenge! I die-cut the dog in a rich dark chocolate card stock. His ghost costume was cut from Neenah Solar white 110# and the bucket from pumpkin pie cardstock. I colored the inside of his ears and his nose with my Copic markers.
I stamped the horrible house stamp in medium grey ink onto a card base and then popped up my little dog with foam tape. I found an old set that I had with a hat that has trick or treat on it and fussy cut that, and applied it to his head.
Here’s my clean and simple take on Halloween costumes:

I told you he was cute!!!! I thought the house was the perfect backdrop for him!
As always our design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, today’s card maybe Halloween but the weather isn’t feeling anything close to fall like. Today we hit almost 90F, that would be nearly 33C for those that prefer centigrade! Me? My preference would be to NOT have 90 degree temps at this time of the year! The trees are so confused that only one tree around us has started to change color. All the other trees are still bright green! Our HOA had a contractor do fall cleanup this week. mmmmm…. not exactly sure WHAT he cleaned up as there are almost no leaves on the ground! The fall decor is almost complete, but it’s hard to take it seriously with the temps outside!
I walked into the sunroom yesterday and came face to face with a deer who was chomping on something in the garden! I decided to just sit down and not scare her. I heard this scratching at the window and realized that Charlie was behind the couch on the windowsill and he was watching the deer. The deer heard him scratching, so she watched him watching her!

Why he wanted to attract her attention I have no idea! But they sat there watching each other for a few minutes before the deer got bored and wandered off!
Little Miss Luna (aka the lunatic) has settled in really well. Even Charlie plays with her occasionally – they play catch-me-if-you-can! She cuddles up with both Smudgie and Chilli. No cuddles are even going to happen with Charlie!

She loves a soft blanket! She lies on the bed everynight with Chilli until we get into bed. They stay there for a little while and they go off together.

She also loves hanging out on the climber on the highest bed, of course! Can we talk about those ears? They have their own zip code 🙂

A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E…. well, some of the time! She’s teething and her little gums are so pink. Oh, yeah and she likes chomping those little baby teeth on my hand – gently, but it’s something I discourage cos those teeth aren’t going to be tiny for long!
While we are on the subject of ears…… our majestic Chilli has grown into the most handsome boy!

At 20# he has still not finished growing! He still has about 4 months before he reaches maturity. He’s just the sweetest ball of fluff around. I am not surprised that Luna is in love with him!
Well, I think that’s enough cat photos for one post! I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Jaydee, I’m still lingering on those lovely cat photos and the one of the deer too! Our last HOA had an overabundance of deer – but now we don’t see them often in this home. Lots of walkers with dogs, though. Your card is adorable!! Love the WOOF, the background is perfect! No costume stamps for me either. Glad I can admire yours!
Oh my gosh! Okay…I have to get this die! This card is adorable to the max. I love the background stamp, too. It is perfect for this die. Looks like I have to have one of those, too. lol And seriously, can one ever have too many photos of your gorgeous cats in one post? I think not. Luna is too cute. Her face and expression is precious. Have a wonderful week!
I really, really, really need that die set : ) It’s adorable and your little woof-or-treater looks great against the haunted house. I have spent the last year snatching up Halloween stamps from years past as if my Halloween collection wasn’t pretty big to start with, but I really love Halloween cards. Just need to send some out now. Also, your kitty crew is adorable and I am always happy to look at pictures of them!
Jaydee, this woof-or-treater is sooooo FUN!!!!! His witch hat and pumpkin bucket made me smile! I am sorry you had to buy something for my challenge, but so happy you did! The spooky house is amazing and the perfect background! I don’t think I would go to this house for treats. LOL! You made my challenge shine!
Your family of kitties are just the cutest. I know they bring you so much happiness. Those ears are too precious! Yes, am ready for some cooler days, too! Still hot in the ATL!
Have a great week, My Friend!
It seems you’ve made a perfectly CAS card that’s as cute as can be! The dog costume is hilarious, and the haunted house works wonders for the background “texture”.
LOVE all your photos too — beautiful Maine Coons and deer!
Jaydee, I love your very creative card and the visitor in your yard. The pictures of the cats are lovely! Enjoy your day!
Love your card as I am a dog lover…but also love the pictures of your cats. They are so beautiful. Lucky you having them. Hugs from me to you.
That spooky house stamp is such a classic horror/Halloween image! In grey, it’s just perfect. The die is an added bonus. 🙂
Your little trick or treating pup is adorable Jaydee – and the spooky haunted house background is the perfect accompaniment! Fabulous!
That little trick-or-treater is just the cutest thing ever, and that spooky house is the perfect background! I love seeing your kitties too…..they look so snuggly!
Your card is fabulous, Jaydee! You have a little bit of spookiness but that darling dog pretty much abates that feeling lol! Love seeing the kitties too, they are all beauties!
