Many of you have asked me what happened to the Stampin' Up! Voila corpulent chef - the one who almost made it on to my card on my 11/9 post. Let's take a look at what happened to him on that night….
Too much body…. and not enough coat! oh, dear! so it was back to basics. As a reminder, I wanted to make this card for the chef at our local – and favorite restaurant. Chef Justin always treats us to something different to stimulate our palette and we really appreciate that he caters to us vegetarians. However, Chef Justin is anything but coruplent 🙂
So, here's what happened to the corpulent Christmas chef:
I used the paper piecing technique to create the multiple parts of his outfit. I stamped the image several times and cut out the pieces to make his red neckchief, his red cuff, his red trousers and used the Holly paper for his jacket – this time cut to the right size!
I used Crystal Effects for his coat buttons.
I chalked his face to add color and separate it from the chef hat.
I then stamped "Merry Christmas" from the Berry Christmas set and put it over a piece of Real Red punched with the oval scallop. I use a sketch challenge from Gretchen Barron for the basis of the card.
So… a lot of fun playing with my new Voila set 🙂
