Happy Sunday.
It’s the fabulous LeAnne’s turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a theme for us, and it is one that we can celebrate any day! I was inspired to bring out my Waffle Flower Postal Collage stamps again. This time I used the Sew Fun stencils and the Sew Fun sentiments. I paired it with a Waffle Flower cover plate die called Sweet Plaid Texture.
Here’s a sneak peek:

It’s been a long time since I had a sewing machine, but I used to love sewing “back in the day”! Here’s LeAnne’s challenge:

I began my card by die-cutting the Sweet Plaid coverplate with 80# Neenah Solar White cardstock. I then took out my Sew Fun stencils and inked them up onto Neenah 100# cardstock. Once the images were inked up, I used my Postal Collage dies and die-cut the individual stamps. I added some detail with the price and postmarks and then popped them up onto my card using foam tape.
The sentiment was heat set with white embossing powder and adhered to the card base with foam tape.
Here’s my card:

I have to say, I’d forgotten how much I love this coverplate die :-). Mind you, I’m fond of the stencils, too! I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge. We would love to see what YOU create using LeAnne’s theme.
As always, our design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well Fall has definitely arrived. I am looking out of the window of my craft room and can see a carpet of orange and yellow leaves in the cul-de-sac. One maple has turned the most gorgeous shade of orange and pops against all the others. I really do love this time of year. I bought a sign on Etsy for the family room wall. I just couldn’t resist it, and thought it was so appropriate.

Whether you prefer to call this time of year autumn, or fall, the sentiment is still so appropriate:-)
We had a couple of visitors to our garden today. One of them, naughty, naughty, was eating the hydrangea leaves! I should title this photo “ooops, busted!”

She was with her boyfriend – what a handsome stag he is!

They didn’t stick around long once they realized I had seen them. They quietly wandered off and disappeared into the undergrowth.
And, before I go, I just had to share this! My little helper was most helpful again this week!

Such a pretty girl!
I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:
- Stencils: Sew Fun – Waffle Flower

Another wonderful card made with NBUS supplies in my stash. Just not getting to the craft room enough lately! I just love these stencils, and the go so beautifully with that cover plate. I was such a quilter long ago. Fabric still thrills and inspires me as does this lovely card. ❤️
I love your card, Jaydee! It’s amazing what you make with stencils, the shading looks great. My mom sews, she even made my dress for junior prom. Nowadays she makes things for the grandkids (both her actual grandkids and close friends) but my stinker won’t wear the shirts she makes because they’re not as comfy as regular T-shirts he says. I have apologized on his behalf to my mom several times. I remember so many trips to the fabric store when I was a kid, I loved looking at all the fabric although I don’t know how to sew…but I do own two vintage sewing machines, ha! Anyway, love your card and the fun journey down Memory Lane for me : )
What an amazing set of stencils and stamps – oh my, your stamping library is impressing me yet again! The embossed front that looks so like stitching is wonderful too. This is another great card, Jaydee! 🙂
I love stencils, I love sewing, and I love postage, so this is a triple play winner for me! The sewing images are just so cute, and the background embossing works well with it! Thanks for rocking my challenge this week!
Oh, Jaydee! I can see why you love this plaid cover plate. It is right up my alley. I also love these amazing stencils. I wouldn’t mind wearing something made in these colors of fabrics. The entire card is a treat for the eyes!!! What great pictures of your garden visitors and your beautiful stamping helper! Have a wonderful week!
This is such a sweet card, Jaydee. Love the sewing images, which reminds me of my mother and sister, what fabulous seamstresses they both were. I did not inherit that gene, but I do appreciate it, whether it be cloth or the paper images you used. Love the colors you chose for the stenciling and the fun images too; it’s all just delightful! Thanks for the photos of the deer and the lovely Luna, she’s certainly a beauty!
Jaydee, this is SEW-Wonderful! My Mom was a seamstress and I know this card would have made her happy! Love these stamps stencils and all the beautiful colors!
Your visitors are fabulous! They know you are doing something fun inside! I agree, Fall is the best month! God’s masterpieces everywhere! Have a great weekend, My Friend!
I love sewing, stencils and a punny sentiment and this card has all three – a winner in my book! That die plate makes for a fabulous background too. Great wildlife photos – those deer are amazing in your back garden!
