Love Notes for Paper Players #408

HI Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's a theme challenge:

Well, it has been a very long time since I had to add a note to a lunchbox, but I do occasionally leave a card in Lou's PC bag when he travels.  So, this challenge gave me a great excuse to create another one of those cards.

I used a Penny Black stamp and matted it with Cajun Craze to echo the colors that I used to color the terra-cotta pot.  I really love this image.  It is incredibly sweet.  It is also a really fun stamp to color.  I began by coloring the pot and the area around it.  I decided to add a little depth to the ladybugs with some Irresistible black enamel.

Here's a closeup:

I love terra-cotta pots.  They look fabulous and really fit with my old patio, which was tiled by an Italian called Tiziano – and it was titled beautifully.  However, back then I had absolutely no idea how to spell it – or knew that it was related to the amazing Italian artist – Titian.  Well, that was all before I met and married an Italian 🙂  Now… how did I digress from the subject at hand… oh, yeah…. it's all Lou's fault!  Back to terra-cotta pots and those fabulous little hedgehogs.

Here's my full card:

I know that Lou will appreciate this little love note when he goes on his next trip 🙂

If you are looking for some fabulous inspiration, you have to look no further than our very talented design team:

I hope you will join us and play along this week.  I mean, everyone deserves a little note to let them know they are loved 🙂

On a personal note:

Oh…. YES!  4 whole days off work to enjoy the last days of summer.  Charlie and I spent some time in my craft room today and I got to play along with a couple of challenges.

However, one of the challenges I didn't get to play along with was the Addicted to CAS challenge last night.  For some ridiculous reason I flaked and made a card for the next challenge – and missed the challenge for this week!  So, I will be sitting out the Apples challenge – but hope that you check it out – AddictedToCas

I thought I would share a photo of a swallowtail on the bergamot.  They really are gorgeous butterflies.

I've really enjoyed the butterflies in the garden this year and I know they have appreciated the native plants 🙂

I'll be back with another card tomorrow.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
