Wildflower Garden for TGIF

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

I saw this great tic-tac-toe challenge across at TGIF

I decided to go straight across the tope:  pearls, purple and flowers.  I mean, how could I not go with that choice 🙂

For once I decided NOT to use a white base.  I know.  Shock!  The world just turned on its axis 🙂  I mean, how often do I do that???!!!

I had a card base that I had made for a different challenge weeks ago and decided it was high time to use it.  It also saved be coloring in sky behind my flowers 🙂

I have a new set that I purchased from Altenew called Wildflower Garden.  This kind of stamp set is a huge challenge for me as it forces me to create a "scene".  Now, my mother would have told you that I was not adverse to creating a scene when I was a child and wasn't getting my own way 🙂  But, this is the other kind of scene… the one you have to create using multiple stamps.  Aaargh!  Some people are just genius at it – not me!  But, I forced myself to give it a try!

I began with the largest flower and then filled in the rest, trying to use as much purple as I could.  I was pretty happy with how it turned it.

I used a die-cut "hope" from the Altenew Hope set and die-cut it in mirror silver card stock.  I cut a couple of extras to back it as I wanted it to pop off the page a little.  The rest of the sentiment was stamped onto vellum and mounted with tape.  I added enamel pearls to the center of the flowers.

I love the pop of silver on top of the Soft Sky card base and think the silver also works well with the deep purples on the flowers.
