Hi everyone. Happy Monday.
Well, I did get to spend some time in my craft room yesterday – a good place to escape the heat and humidity! I played along with the Match the Sketch challenge
I decided to have some fun with the vertical layer and make it look as though my hibiscus flower was nestling among a creeper :-) However, I decided I needed a little color inspiration – and got that from the Color Throwdown website.
I began by stenciling the leaf stencil up the right hand side of my card. I then stamped the flower onto Neenah Solar White card stock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Once I had done that, I took my Zig Kuretake markers and watercolored the flower with two shades of orange with a little purple in the middle of the flower. I also watercolored the leaves and then left them to dry.
Once the elements were dry, I adhered them to the card base using glue and a couple of dimensionals to raise the flower and stamped my sentiment. here's my card:
On a personal note:
A single photo to share with you tonight and I hope you are all ready to go awwwwwww. I was standing on the deck this afternoon, camera in hand – just in case something came along!
A young deer taking refuge in the shade:
I'll be back with another card tomorrow. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Jaydee this is gorgeous! Love the way you colored the flower. Never would have thought two such different colors would work so well together. And I did say awww when I saw your little dear!
