Hi Everyone. Happy Friday.
I cannot tell you just how happy I am that it is 6.30 on a Friday evening and I have finally finished work. This has been a VERY long week (average 14 hour days!). This was my short day – just 12 hours. So… the fact that it is Friday… and the sun is shining and the temps are in the 70s…. oh…. I am dancing a very happy dance!
Now… I made tonight's card this past weekend, but haven't been able to get to my blog to show it to you. I've just been too exhausted by the time I've finished work and getting dinner on the table, house tidied and cats fed was just about all I could do!
Fusion has a great inspiration and sketch challenge:
The minute I saw the inspiration card, I knew it was time to pull out an old SSS card kit set from 2015 and that it would make a fabulous masculine card.
Here's my take on the photo and sketch:
I had tremendous fun with the clouds. I used Versamark and white embossing powder on the stamp outlines and then used embossing paste to fill in the clouds and my heat gun to make them more fluffy! I stamped the little boat and fussy cut around it and mounted it onto the focal layer. I took the "waves" stamp and stamped it across the focal layer – as well as the base layer and white embossed the sentiment onto a piece of Denim Days card stock to match the base. I adhered this with glue.
So… what do you think? Do you think you can see the inspiration photo in my card 🙂
On a personal note:
For those of you who have been missing my wildlife shots… here's a couple of catch up:
I was out and about on the deck and spied Georgina… she spied me, too and tried to hide behind a blade of grass!
See her poking her one eye through the little gap in the grass? I thought it was a great angle and didn't see it until I was loading my photo to post here 🙂
The goldfinch wasn't any happier to see me either!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Love your nautical scene! The clouds are fluffy & fabulous and the waves stamped over both panels add great movement to the card!
Wonderful card that captures the theme and colors perfectly. I have a fondness for nautical themes for cards. Georgina is cute. The bird is lovely. I really miss seeing and feeding birds since moving to an apartment. Thank you for sharing.
What a lovely masculine card for the young or the old. Like the idea on how you done them clouds.
Me think Georgina is playing hide-n-seek with you. :} What a great photo shot. You need to have a calendar made using some of your favorite photos or send some of your photos to Birds ad Blooms magazine.
With your looooooooooong hour days, it’s time for you to sit and relax so enjoy your evening and have a fun and relaxing weekend
Love, love this card. Nautical cards are my favorite and you captured it perfectly. Great idea with the waves. Now rest and have a fun weekend. You deserve it.
I love those clouds! Great card! Is Georgina a beaver? Very cute. 🙂 Thanks for joining us at Fusion!
