Enchanted Garden Love for Paper Players #294

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.   It's my turn to host the Paper Players challenge this week and I have a fabulous (well I think it is 🙂 ) color combination for you:

I'm generally not a pastel person, but waiting for spring in these parts is quite a wait and I am always happy when the flowers start to make their first appearance and these colors remind me of the colors of those flowers.

Once again I used my new favorite flower set that came as part of the Stamp of Approval set for April and paired it with the little butterfly that was also part of the set.

Here's my take on the challenge:

Ppcolors (1 of 1)

My stitched squares and wonky stitched rectangles were put to good use on this card and I love how light and airy it feels.  I hope you will join us this week and play along with us.   The design team have created some fabulous cards as inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

Once again the weather is glorious here.  The humidity is really low (below 40 percent) and the high is in the low 70s.  Absolutely perfect weather.   The Orioles are well and truly back and we have 3 of them coming backwards and forwards to the feeder on our deck.  I also managed to catch a fleeting glance of the Redbreasted Grosbeak and his mate, but they are staying out of plain sight.  I do so love this time of year.  I've always appreciated this time of re-birth, but tell everyone that you don't really appreciate spring until you have lived through a Minnesota winter! I know those of you who live in the frozen states will know exactly how I feel 🙂

Lou got back from India late yesterday and was really enjoying the cooler weather.  It was 44 degrees centigrade (111 farenheit) when he left Deli on Friday.  So getting back to low humidity and temps in the high 70s was a relief!   He also couldn't believe how much green had appeared since he left a week or so ago. 🙂

I'll be spending some time in my craft room today – and hopefully get some photos outside, so I should be back with another card tomorrow.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. LOL, I was going to use this layout too (my standard when I don’t know quite what to do with the colors) but I thought I’d better not “copy”!!! I just LOVE the dainty little flowers and your sweet little butterfly…it makes for a light and airy card! Great color combo, too!!! And those stitched squares just add such a nice finish to your creation!
