Happy Friday.
I saw this really flexible inspiration card across at Time Out Challenges and decided I needed to play along.
I began by stamping three flowers onto Xpress cardstock and coloring them with my Copic markers. I then stenciled the base using my Tim Holtz sun ray stencil and three shades of yellow distress inks. I stamped the sentiment and then mounted the flowers at different levels to add a little dimension. Lastly, I used some Wink of Stella on the sunrise to give a little shimmer and shine.
I hope you will pop along to time Out Challenges and check out the gorgeous cards.
On a personal note:
Well, I am still having some intermittent issues with my blog and have called in the big guns for some help. Let's hope they can get it sorted out soon!
Today the temperature reached 90 degrees. It has been a very long week at work – well – actually two weeks as I worked straight through last weekend as well as 12 hour days on both weeks. Today, I shut down my PC at 3.15pm and came and sat outside in the screened in porch. It was wonderful. It's looking at the wetlands and woodlands and watching the to-ing and fro-ing of the birds that quiets my mind and slows my heart beat.
However, my heart did miss a few beats when I heard a familiar sound that I have not heard for MANY months. The Oriole! Yes! The Oriole and the Grosbeak both appeared bak in our garden within about 5 minutes of each other. I immediately rushed outside and opened up some grape jelly and set it out for them. Hopefully they will find it tomorrow! I love the splash of color they bring to our garden.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
