I'm on a mission to use up all the supplies in my monthly card kits and other kits that I bought… there are some fabulous stamps, DSPs and elements in these kits and I really don't do them justice by keeping them in my crafting cupboard.
They are especially useful for creating cards for the charities that I support every month through splitcoaststampers and I made this card for another round of cards I will be sending to Cole's Foundation – the charity featured in March. Creating cards for children suffering life threatening diseases is something that I will never get tired of doing.
I used the fabulous sketch from Sunday Stamps
This is the second card I've made using this great sketch – I do think it is going to become one of my go to layouts.
I used the stamp and DSP from the April 2015 Simon Says Stamp card kit.
Here's my card:
I stamped the sentiment with Encore Gold Ink and added some gold embossing powder and heat set it. I then ran it through my Big Shot with my Lil Inker Stitched Rectangle dies. I then mounted this panel onto fun foam and added the banners from 3 different papers from the card kit. I wrapped some Pure Hemp twine around the focal layer and tied it in front of the banners. I then mounted it to a Baked Brown Sugar base. Of course, I had to add a little bit of bling… and did that through two My Minds Eye dots. They were the perfect color for the DSP.
I then decorated the envelope by stamping the balloon from the same set onto the envelope and then coloring them with my Wink of Stella gold pen.

Hi Jaydee! I love the gold with baked brown sugar and the fun banner dsp you’ve used. Awesome sketch too!
My hummers are back like I thought the other day when I only heard a hum buzz by. I’ve never put my hummingbird feeder out this early and I’m so glad I did! As of now, I’ve only spotted one ruby throated at my feeder. I can’t wait to see if I get anymore. How about you Jaydee, any sightings yet?
