Hi Everyone. happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous talented Sandy's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great theme challenge for us.
Well, this challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to use of my favorite masculine SU sets – Rev Up the Fun. I paired the car and tyre images with a grunge stamp from Tim Holtz on the background layer. I thought the pattern looked like the flag at a racetrack.
Here's my card:
Of course, I HAD to make it a red car… and make it shiny! I fussy cut around the car – and cut out the side window with a craft knife. Once that was done, I used Crystal Accents to add the shine to the car and left it to dry. Once it was dry, I adhered it to the focal layer with foam tape to make it pop.
I was really pleased with the way it turned out – and even Lou approved!

On a personal note:
Lou and I were able to attend some movies at the Minneapolis St Paul International Film Festival and one of the movies we chose to watch was called "Capturing Grace". It is a documentary about a group of Parkinson's sufferers in New York and how they found release from the movement of dance. It is a beautiful movie and was absolutely fascinating. If you have friends or family who suffer from Parkinson's you will know how difficult it can be to control movement and it is astonishing how dance and music helped this group of people to find the control over movement. My favorite line from the whole movie was…. "when we enter this space, there are no patients, only dancers". If you get the chance to see it, I really would recommend it. Look… green things appearing!!!! It's hard to believe that they will soon be tall and adding so much color to our garden:
It's been great to be able to sit outside under our deck in our screened in area and we turned our gazebo area into a fire pit area. We have managed to use it a couple of times but, as we have been under fire warnings and high winds… we haven't had the chance to use it as much as we would like. I love the view over the wetland from the screened in area
It's lovely in summer as it's a haven of shade for us – and protects us from those pesky mosquitoes that take over our wetland.

I love the CAS design and all the extra touches on this fabulous card! The car looks amazing and the notebook edge is so cool with the grungy background.

This is a fabulous guy card! Reminds me of 30 Days in May growing up near Indianapolis! I love the background stamp and the Smokey Slate notecard punched paper to show off that shiny red car! I love my RED car!
