Happy Sunday.
It's my turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and, because it is the 5th Sunday in the month, it's Tic Tac Toe week. I went for a square card for my project this week featuring another set that was part of the crafty box that I got from Jennifer McGuire. It's a set called Midnight Moths and it is by Altenew.
Here's a sneak peek:
And yes, that would be purple… a color that almost NEVER appears on my blog!
Here's our Tic Tac Toe board:
For my card I went straight across the top: CAS, something that flies, square card.
I used the chevron stencil that was in the same box from Jennifer as the base and then stamped and watercolored the moth. I popped it up with foam squares and added the sentiment. Easy peasy!
Here's my full card:
As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, it finally stopped raining – oh and dropping tornado warnings! It seems to have rained not stop since we got the new deck furniture. So, it's been sitting out there with the covers on protecting it from the rain – but we haven't been able to sit on the deck and it's well over two weeks now. Wednesday and Thursday we had massive storms, tons of rain and tornado warnings and touch downs across both days. On Thursday afternoon, we spent 40 minutes sitting in the only real inside room that we have, and that happens to be the guest toilet! So… that was fun :-). Luckily, even though there was tornadic rotation within half a mile of us there was no touch down reported. So we were able to finally make an escape and watch the rain and lightening.
I thought I would share another photo of Charlie. He sleeps in his hammock on my desk but occasionally he will wake up and decide to come for a cuddle. He then forces me to stop doing whatever it is that I'm doing, clear everything out of the way so that he can lie in my arms. Sometimes he falls asleep and stretches out and demands that I open my hand so he can put his paws in my hand. Once he's done that, he falls back to sleep and I'm officially catnapped until he wakes up! He does the same thing when we are in bed at night – stretches out, scritches at my hand and then puts his two paws in my hand. So darned cute.
Such a sweetheart!
I couldn't resist sharing a photo of another sweetheart:
All those spots!!!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

I am loving the way you’re using soft background stencils lately. Such a pretty effect. Moths are not usually as sexy as butterflies but this one is a real beauty. Maybe purple should feature more regularly? 🙂
That’s a beautiful color combo for the moth, Jaydee! He looks wonderful on the softly stenciled background. I love how Charlie looks so happy with this paws in your hand, that would make my heart so happy if I had a kitty that did that! The cats I’ve had in the past didn’t have that type of temperment, so it’s so sweet to see. As always, thanks for sharing the lovely pics.
Jaydee… so loved catching up on Sunday… thanks for the support! Great card this week as well!
Who knew a moth could be so pretty Jaydee? I must confess I’d struggle to chase this one away, which is what I usually do when I see one! I love that background stencilling too – you always use them to such great effect. A lovely card and a great board this week!
What a pretty card! I love the soft, subtle images and colors…that background is just lovely! As are your kitty and deer!
A lovely card, Jaydee! The stenciled chevrons create a perfect backdrop for the pretty moth. I love it when we have Tic-Tac-Toe week. The board you made for us had so many great choices! I am so thankful the tornado missed you. Your stint in the powder room reminded me of when we were at a dog show in Missouri and staying at a hotel. Nueve and I huddled together in the bath tub until the all-clear was given. Fun times…NOT! lol
So cute and delicate card, congrats 😊💐 happy day
Such a pretty moth Jaydee – gorgeous colours you chose! Love that fabulous stencilled background too! Charlie looks like a real sweetheart – glad you all escaped any damage from that storm! Hugs, Kate!
Jaydee, this was a fabulous TTT Board. Your moth is so pretty. I love the colors you used and the stenciled background is amazing! I hope the sun is shining on you today and you can use your new deck furniture. It is so hot in the ATL. Charlie really is a sweetheart!
