Happy Sunday – again!
I have a quick post for you today featuring the Waffle Flower Winter Leaves sencil and Hot Foil dies. I saw this great challenge across at Just Us Girls. The challenge calls for us to use stencils. So my entire card – except for the frame was creataed from stencils. I just love the leaves and berries in the Winter Leaves set. Here's a sneak peek:
I used four different colors of green for the laves and added a touch of dark blue for more depth, cleaning my stencil between each application. For the berries I used 3 different inks, a red, a mulberry and a yellow/orange. Once the items were all stenciled I ran them through my Glimmer machine to add the details of the stems, leaves and the tops of the berries. I then die-cut them with the matching dies.
I then used my favorite chevron stencil to create a background to help ground the leaves and berries. I die-cut three layers of the frame and glued them together. I tucked the leaves under the frames and added a sentiment.
Here's my full card:
I love that the leaves are versatile enough that you can use them for something other than a Christmas card!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of who who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
