Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and keeping warm 🙂
It's my turn to host the Paper Players challenge this week and I have a sketch for you:
I knew that I wanted to use the new Lotus Blossom stamp (free from SU with any order over $50!) and pair it with one of my favorites from the Occasions catalog – Painted Petals.
I am still on my new year resolution to use colors and items that I don't show much love, and this card is no exception as I pulled out So Saffron card stock. It's a color I very, very, very rarely use and I;m not entirely sure why! It's such a soft yellow and I think I might have fallen just a little bit in love with it after making this card. It pairs really well with Hello Honey, too and I used that on the Lotus Blossom flower.
I paired the rarely used So Saffron with colors such as Calypso Coral – another color I never use! I used the Painted Petals components to make the horizontal layer and the sentiment from the set was overlaid on the Lotus Blossom flower.
Here's my card:

Beautiful card and such a lovely sentiment
Enjoy your wonderful weather and a great day
You used my one of my most favorite color palettes in this card! I am so happy to hear that you fell in love with So Saffron because it really is a beautiful color. I think you have convinced me to get the stitched dies! They really make a perfect border. Pretty card!!
This is such a beautiful card! You used both stamp sets to great advantage. It looks exactly like April!!
Such a sweet card, Jaydee. I love Lotus Blossom inked up in the soft yellows and the background paper you stamped is fabulous. A great sketch too–it’s a keeper!
So Saffron is such a beautiful, soft color and it looks amazing here with that gorgeous lotus blossom. Fabulous card and a fantastic sketch!
Hi Jaydee 🙂 First of all I love this classic sketch and have already used it twice. Your use of it is so soft and beautiful. I love So Saffron too, and it works so well with the two stamp sets you selected. The piercing ties everything together so well. Hugs!
So soft and beautiful, with great colors, Jaydee! I love So Saffron. What a great sketch!
Such a beautiful card, and it has such a soothing element to it.

Beautiful card, Jaydee, and I am in love with your sketch!!!
Jaydee, this is just gorgeous! I love the So Saffron on this card. It is a color a rarely use, but I need to rethink that after seeing this beauty! The Lotus flower is perfect and the sentiment is one of my new favorites! XX
First of all, thank you for an awesome sketch this week! I had a lot of fun with it. Your card is so soft and pretty. The colors are beautiful and I love the detail arounds the edges. Very pretty!
Apologies for my late commenting this week Jaydee – a great sketch and I love your take on it! The pretty background flower border looks great behind that lotus flower and your chosen sentiment makes this a beautiful card.
