Partridge Thanks

Hi Everyone.  Happy Wednesday.

I have a very quick post for you tonight and it features one of the sets from the new Mini Catalog.  Immediately I saw this set I knew I had to have it.  It reminds me of a wonderful New Year's Eve that we spent with our dearest friends.  It was a truly awesome night and one that finished at around … mmm… 5am!  So, everytime I see this stamp, it reminds me of that night and makes me smile.

I decided that it wasn't just a Christmas card stamp and that I could also use it as a thank you stamp!  I had tremendous fun coloring this and allowed the coloring – and the little bit of glitter from the wink of stella pen – to be the shining star of the card.

Partridge and tree (1 of 1)

It's been a VERY dull day, so I wasn't able to get a really good shot of the card and had to rush out when a little bit of sunshine appeared on the front porch!

I paired the card with some Soft Sky and Early Espresso cardstock as I thought they replicated the color of the tree and the little bit of sky around the tree.  The Wink of Stella glitter really likes pretty when you have the card in hand.

On a personal note:

I've been really busy at work this last week – again!  But have also been trying to make cards for a very special couple, as well as work on my art journal pages.  So I apologize that my posts this week have been a little bit spotty!

I'll be back with another card tomorrow.  In the meantime warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.  Especially for Anne Marie, Marsha and Rach.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. That’s just too fun and I LOVE your coloring! :o) The added sparkle is delightful. Ah, Rach the sucker for all things sparkly…;o)
Things are looking up, thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers. :o) Hang in there on the work front. Yikes!
    Hugs!
    P.S. Howdy Lou!

  2. What a great idea to use this image as a thank you card Jaydee! I love the way you’ve coloured it and the touch of sparkle.
It sounds as if you’ve been as busy as a bee with all your projects on the go. Thank you for visiting my blog today and leaving your message. We have had quite a bit of sunshine in England this summer but no, I agree that New Year isn’t really the best time to catch it! Take care,
