By the Seashore for Paper Players #203

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Nance's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a theme challenge for us.  Of course, because there is a theme… I decided to go looking for a sketch and a color challenge to help me along.  Luckily, I managed to find some 🙂

Here's Nance's challenge:

I found some color inspiration across at Pals Paper Arts:

PPA210 Basic Gray Lost Lagoon Pool Party

I used the sketch from last week's match the sketch challenge.

Initially I was tempted to use Wetlands as my stamp set, but decided it was time to ink up By the Seashore again and show it a little inky love 🙂

The colors from Pals Paper Arts seemed ideal for the Paper Players theme and work beautifully together.

Here's my card:

Pp203-2

I needed a holiday type of sentiment and realized that the only one I had was a Christmas sentiment from More Merry Messages.  I took my craft scissors to my stamp and cut it in half so that I could easily put the "Happy" and "Holiday" portions of the stamp on top of each other as I thought this was a great sentiment for anyone getting ready to go on vacation 🙂

We have our new guest designers joining us at the Paper Players this week providing some more fabulous inspiration for you.

On a personal note:

We continue to enjoy our time with P&J and R&R and today we spent some time visiting our wonderful shopping centers whilst our guests contributed to the local economy with some fabulous purchases:-)

Yesterday we celebrated the 4th of July with a picnic at a local county park and then fireworks in the evening.  The city certainly put on an incredible fireworks display that continued for almost a full 30 minutes.  It certainly was a day to remember!

I'll be back with another card and some photographs on Wednesday.  In the meantime warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
