Hi Everyone.
I wanted to pop in and say hi to y'all and tonight's card is the perfect one to use:-)
I created this card using the "Four You" and the new "Hi There" set from the 2014 catalog. You know that I love "Four You" and "Hi There" seemed like a natural extension to this set 🙂
I paired both sets with the dies from the "word bubbles" die set and they were exactly what I needed. I used some DSP from the Moonlight DSP pack and paired it with a Smokey Slate base and accents. It's a great masculine card and was created for Lou, as I really needed to thank him for all the work he had done prior to the arrival of our guests. Here's the inside of the card:
I like the masculine feel of the card and, just by changing up the colors, this card could easily be adapted for a feminine recipient 🙂
I also have a couple more interior shots for you. These are of our guest rooms used by our fabulous visitors.
I love the restful blues/greens in this room and the metal/glass decorative item above the bed catches the light and is very pretty. The items in this room reflect some of the places I have visited or lived. The bed is one I brought with me when I left Africa 20 years ago. It's still a wonderful bed and fits this bedroom really well. The painting you can see in front of the window was a painting on silk that I picked up in India two decades ago and the paisley pattern on the duvet cover helps to reinforce the Indian feel. The lamps are pretty new and were purchased purely because of their color. They were perfect for this room 🙂
P&J's room has changed very little since their last trip 18 months ago. I did change out the bedding when I fell in love with this quilt at Pottery Barn a couple of months ago. I love the summery feel of it.
The chair in the corner is one of the first things that we bought for the house when we were getting ready to move in. It's such a comfortable chair and has a fabulous view over the wetland.
A wonderful place to sit in the morning with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise 🙂
Sadly, our visitors return home on Saturday. We've had a tremendous time showing them around Minnesota and have taken them the full length of this wonderful state. This week we spent a couple of fabulous days up on Lake Superior where the weather was fabulous and the views amazing from our rented cabin. It's been 15 years since Lou and I were last up there and were scratching our heads wondering why it had taken so long to go back 🙂

Loved those bedrooms!! . . . loved your souvenirs!! . . . loved that chair and imagined myself “saboreando” (getting the most of . . . ) a delicious coffee!!

Great card, Jaydee. That DSP is really beautiful and very versatile.
I’d have a really tough time deciding which of those lovely bedrooms to pick…might have to alternate nights. I love the chair and the view in the elegant white room, but my heart is drawn to the soothing shades of blue and green with all your beautiful accents. You really are an artiste!
