Happy Saturday.
It's the fabulous Stef's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week. Stef chose such summery colors that I was inclined to go floral, but I decided nah… let's do something different. So I inked up the Classic Correspondence set from Pinkfresh Studio instead.
Here's a sneak peek:
And here is our badge with Stef's colors:
I began by stamping the various elements from the set that I wanted to use and then colored them using the matching stencils. I die-cut the focal layer using the Nested Rectangles Postage Edge dies from Pinkfresh and stamped the sentiment. I arranged the items on the focal layer with glue and foam tape. As I wanted to repeat the colors, I blended them on the card base.
Here's my card:
Don't you love that sentiment? It's from Waffle Flower and it's called Sealed Sentiments – perfecty for a crafty friend!
As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, I am finally getting over my bout of flu. I haven't had a bout of flu that bad in decades. It meant catching sleep when I wasn't coughing so hard that I pulled muscles, and I really couldn't do very much. So, I missed the Paper Players challenge last week as it was one of the very few weeks that I hadn't prepared a card in advance. It was only this Thursday that I started to feel better and to have enough energy to actually want to eat something! Since Thursday I have had so much more energy and even got some stamping done. Today I was feeling well enough to spring clean some cupboards – much to Lou's chagrin. I swear he starts to sweat and shake when I mention cleaning cupboards! But after being in the house for 8 months, I now have a good feel for what is working and what isn't so a rearrangement was much needed.
This coming week we will be working on getting the outside set up and ready for summer and we are meeting with a landscaper to add some trees and native plantings. I really miss the native plants that we had in our house and the front garden in this one is the perfect place for some sun loving natives.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Jaydee, I’m so glad you’re feeling better – having the flu is the worst, except maybe for getting Covid.
I adore this card! The elements are in the classic PF illustrative style and your arrangement of them on top of the postage die cut panel is delightful. And I love how you carried the colors onto the card base. Beautifully done!
