Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday.
As some of you may remember, I attended the onlinecardclasses clean and simple 3 class and the focus was on one layer cards. I have a card that uses the die masking technique that I used on this card but tonight's card is, indeed, a one-layer card.
I sponged around the heart and also sponged the area where the sentiment would be placed. The base layer is white and the sponged area is Primrose Petals. I stamped the sentiment from "See Ya Later" onto the card. I am really loving this set – and just a reminder, it's only available FREE with a $50 order for another few days! It has some really cool sentiments and, even though I wasn't sure about it when I first saw it, I really am enjoying it!
Here's my card:
I know the sentiment doesn't look straight…. but it is, I promise! :-) I used a red gel pen to give a little color to the heart.
On a personal note:
Well, Lou has managed to finish painting the wall behind the bed (looks awesome!) and also my craft room. It was quite the challenge to unpack my cupboard so that we could move it, but I used it as an excuse to do some spring cleaning. I can tell you that our local Savers received a donation of some good stamping stuff! I really do love new color of the craft room – the furniture really pops now. So, way to go, Lou!
The snow is still here…. I honestly thing its going to be here until 4th July! But, the fact that it is in the 20s and snow covers the ground, didn't stop me from doing spring cleaning today! I just wish that it had been warm enough to open all of the windows. Note to self: never try to clean the outside of the windows with Windowlene because… guess what…. yep…. it freezes! Mmmmm… I'll remember to be less impatient for the remainder of the windows and wait until it warms up!
I'm hoping to be able to get into my craft room and do some creating tomorrow, but I will be back with another card regardless. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

You know, Primrose Petals has really grown on me–it’s quite a rich pink, isn’t it? This is a wonderful one layer card (I do love sponging on a card!) and I love how you rounded that one corner. :o)
Hooray for painting and cleaning out the craft room! :o) No hooray for frozen window cleaner. :oS Yikes!
I’m off to try to deal with the dead alternator on the van…UGH.
Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou! Hooray for finishing the painting!
Jaydee:
The sentiment is so pretty . . . and so true!
Spring arrived puncutally on the 21st, we have had sunny days, I have been watering the garden and it really looks Spring.
Be patient! it will be there sooner than you expect!!
Much love.
Marina . . . from far Africa.
I really like the card, the sponging underneath the sentiment is just perfect. What great inspiration.
Looking forward to seeing a post of your craft room with the new colour! (PLease??????)
What a wonderful CAS design, love how the heart pops off the card!
that Primrose Petal is such a pretty color
You using it on your beautiful card looks like a person could be on a pink cloud; it’s so soft and lovely looking.
