I have another card for you tonight that I made on Sunday.
Recently, I took the "Stenciled" class with onlinecardclasses and have been dying to actually put some of the techniques into practice. I did manage to do that on two cards during my "play time" on Sunday.
I saw this great sketch across at fusion.
I immediately had this idea in my head to create the horizontal pattern using a mosaic stencil and some white embossing powder. I love how the embossing powder adds dimension and dries really hard. However, whilst it is still wet, you can do all sorts of things with it, including adding layers of glitter, like I did for this card. I pulled out some very old glitter that I had and covered the embossed area in three different colors of glitter.
It was a really bright day, so the card doesn't look as pretty as it does in hand. The glitter colors are a little deeper than they appear here.
Here's the outside of the card:
Isn't that pretty? Well, I think it is, and I promise it really does look much better in hand.
Of course, I had to do the inside, and was inspired by the photograph in the fusion challenge. I typed up a sentiment in MDS, cut a heart from my heart punch and some gold metallic paper and…..
On a personal note:
I'm sorry that my posts are so rushed this week, but things are really tough at work as we try to work out what is happening and who is going. Consequently, we are all running around like headless chickens trying to respond to every request and I'm working some long hours as a result of that. Taking a break to do a quick update, and share a card, is a welcome break in my day 🙂

I love ombre almost as much as Roy G Biv. :o) This is delightful–after all, how can you go wrong with glitter?!? ;o) I’ve been using clear embossing powder for sticking glitter, I’d never thought to use white…thanks for the idea. :o)

Love that beautiful ombre glitter design … so pretty … so glad you joined our Fusion Card Valentine Challenge.
Jaydee, in your instructions you said embossing POWDER, but in your list you mentioned emobossing PASTE. Is there a difference and if so, which one did you use? I love the ombre effect. If it’s better in real life, it must be stunning!
