Hi Everyone. Happy Monday.
This is going to be a very quick post. I took a short break from work to do my blog update and feed the pussycats and then it's back to work!
My regular readers know that I LOVE French Foliage – it is one of my favorite all time SU sets. Well, I saw a technique on a recent onlinecardclasses Tim Holtz technique class that allowed me to showcase this set in a whole new way.
What was that technique, I can hear you asking? It is Heat and Stick with metallic foil sheets. I think the outcome is gorgeous. In fact, I loved it so much that I created two different cards using this technique. I'll share the second one later in the week.
The sun was very bright when I took this photograph and it really shines off the metallic foil. It's more muted in normal daylight. I love the texture it gives and, of course, I love the shine! It was so easy to do and I'm thinking it will look great for Christmas, too. I just need the right color of metallic foil!
Ann – I am so envious of your viewings of the herons. How amazing to watch so many of them with their babies. Nature is, indeed, a wonderful thing!
Rach – Lou said thanks for making him feel better about not having unpacked the garage boxes yet:-)
Marge – hugs, thank you!
Pamela – thank you. It's amazing how many of you appreciate the photos of our garden and critters. We are certainly very blessed and it is my real pleasure to be able to share that with you. On the organization front… I hear you! I really am so less productive when I feel overwhelmed by too much clutter or stuff.
Sandy – you asked if I used a brayer on my card. Nope. I cannot handle one! Give me sponges and inks anytime!
Well, I am off back to work. Have a wonderful evening. Warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight. I'll be back with another card on Wednesday.
hugs
Jaydee
