Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday night.
The fabulous Anne Marie has a great sketch challenge for us this week.

When I saw the sketch I knew that the back panel would be made from DSP and when I went into my crafting room, I noticed a piece of scrap Winter Frost Specialty DSP sitting on my craft table. I decided it was a great starting point for the card.
Next, I needed the element in the corner. I went to my pack of glimmer paper and found a snowflake in the packet. Ah. Ha! All that I had to do was stamp the sentiment and back the DSP onto a piece of Whisper White card stock, add some bling, the three banners, and I was done.
Once again, it was a dull, grey day, and I wasn't able to get a decent photograph. It seems weeks since we had a good shot of sunshine!
Don't forget to pop along to the design team blogs and check out their fabulous inspiration cards for the challenge this week.
Then, pop along to the Paper Players and play along with us this week!
On a personal note:
Colleen – the other one :-) You asked about the embossing paste I used on this card. It's made by Ranger and you can check out a tutorial by Tim Holtz at this link. I'm hoping to play around with it a little more this weekend.
Marge, is the bush you mentioned a dogwood by any chance? Its a green bush that goes a fabulous red in fall and then the stems stay red over winter? If it is, we would love to grow dogwoods in the woodland, but it's too shady. It's the right environment in that it does get wet there, but the trees provide too much shade. We did plant one in the front garden this year and will be planting more in spring. They are such a gorgeous bush and provide color all year round!
Colleen, Charlie is adorable and says thank you for telling him that 🙂
As always, thank you for your visit and your comments. I really do appreciate them. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
I'll be back on Monday with another card
Hugs
Jaydee

Just lovely….clean and sparkly and so very pretty!
Jaydee,
What a lovely, wintery Christmas card! I’m such a sucker for Pool Party and silver (or heck, ANY) glimmer paper!
We’re still in recovery mode from our busy weekend. Whew! When did Halloween start stretching into a week-long event?!? :oS
Hugs!
P.S. Hiya Lou!
I love when something already sitting on my desk is the inspiration for a card! Love your soft colors and you’ve added just the right amount of sparkle.
Isn’t it great when a card comes together from scraps!! This is lovely, Jaydee–so soft and pretty. I love your treatment with the banners. Tone-on-tone almost makes them look embossed. Beautiful!
Jaydee, this is simply stunning! I just love the clean design with the perfect amount of sparkle. Thank you for rocking my sketch this week, my friend. Big hugs! 🙂
Beautiful, Jaydee! These colors impart such a frosty feel!
