Hi Everyone. Happy Thursday. Quick post for you tonight.
On Tuesday's post I promised to share another Wetlands card. I wanted to create another one layer card but had to find a way to add a little interest.
I realized that I hadn't used my Banner set from the new catalog and thought it would make an ideal mask to create a central focal area and some stripes. All I needed was some rubbing alcohol and some Crumb Cake ink refill.
It was really easy to use. All I did was place my card stock on my craft sheet, secure it with a little washi tape and then take out my spritzer. The key to good spritzing is to ensure that your spritzer is about 8-10 inches away from the card stock and that you use a very light touch. The other key thing….. make sure that the hole is pointed away from you. Yep, don't ask me how I know about that little issue!!!! All I can say is that spritz in the face isn't a good idea 🙂
I love that the stencil creates the perfect circle to highlight this image and the gentle spritzing adds interest without adding bulk. I colored the image with Copic markers and decided that no embellishments were required 🙂
I'll be back on Saturday with my next Paper Players card. In the meantime, have a fabulous Friday. Warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who’s had fun with one layer cards lately. You’ll be getting a bumper crop in the mail soon…;o)
This is delightful! I wouldn’t have thought to mask and spritz–brilliant (minus that whole Crumb Cake and alcohol facial thing…:oP).
I look forward to Saturday’s post!
Hugs!
P.S. Howdy Lou!
What a wonderful looking SLC. Like what you had done with your masking; makes for a great looking card.
Been seeing more and more of the SL cards. Been making some myself.
Have a great day and enjoy your weekend.
Any cool temperatures……send some our way. Have had 28 days of triple digit temperatures so far. Still having 100 deg. temps or higher.

What a beautiful card. I love the technique you used. I am using this set a lot lately. Everything I try makes a beautiful card. Keep them coming.
Ooh, simply beautiful! Love how you added the stripes! And the whole spritzing thing, well some people pay big bucks for spray-on tans…
Like you, I absolutely love this stamp set and have not used it as much as I would like. This idea is fabulous and I can’t wait to try it. I got the stencils and haven’t used them yet either so this will be great practice. Keep those ideas coming. I love them all.
Beautiful Jaydee! I love the soft strips and masked circle. I’m not 100% sure how you did this but the end result is stunning. I also really like the goose colored with your Copics. He is very handsome! Have a lovely weekend.
