Hi Everyone. Happy Monday. I hope you all had a great start to the week.
Whilst I was playing in my craft room yesterday, I found a new challenge to play along with sketchbook saturday.

In my latest box of goodies from Stampin' Up! was some DSP I had ordered – Birthday Basics. What I hadn't seen when I initially looked at the DSP online was that it had some paper with bicycles on it. Once I opened it, I knew it would be perfect for cards for Lou (who doesn't get to see enough of his bicycle these days, cos he sees too much of a paint can 🙂 )
I looked at the color of the DSP and realized it wwould work fabulously for creating a frame around the DSP and making that the feature. Luckily, I had the perfect sentiment from a recent PTI purchase 🙂
Here's my card:
The sentiment inside reads:
Then, because this is one of the cards I'm sending off to OWH – I decided to decorate the envelope with a set from Simon Says Stamp that I purchased especially for the OWH card drive.
and…..
This is the first time that I have used Soft Sky and have to say that I love it. It's everything that Bashful Blue wasn't 🙂
On a personal note:
I had the opportunity to photograph some of the cards sent in for the OWH card drive. I managed to get Marilyn, Gill and Cindy's cards photographed and will be doing Pamela's next. I promise you… there are some amazing cards in the collections and there will be LOTS of inspiration for you all. I can't wait to share their galleries with you.
One of the things I love about doing OWH, apart from the obvious :-)…. is that I get to see and handle all of these fabulous creations. I learn so much from each of you about color combinations, sketches, the different use of textures ….. it really is eye candy! It also means that we get to send in a wide range of styles and that makes it even better for the troops, because there really is something for everyone's taste.
As always, thank you for stopping by my little neck of the stamping blogosphere. I really do always appreciate your comments and your visits. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Jaydee I adore this! I didn’t know what to do with this DSP but you treated it perfectly by letting it stand alone! What a perfect sentiment too, especially paired with the one inside.
Such a great looking card along with such a sweet sentiment Jaydee and love how you done the envelope.
Jaydee!
What a beautiful card!! . . . wished my husband rode a bicyle — ha!ha!ha! . . . he rides on the waves and sound of classical music. Probably one of these days you might be inspired with this theme.
Happy riding with Lou by your side.
Marina . . . from far Africa!
Now aren’t those bicycles too much fun? And, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the envelope! I think I need that. :oP
I remember loving Soft Sky when it was first out back in 2007, and was so thrilled they brought it back. I agree with you completely.
I’m SOOOOO excited to see all the cards that have been sent! You are a lucky duck since you get to see them in person. Cameras never really can do a card justice.
Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou! I hope you get to get your bike out soon! :o)
