Hi Everyone. Happy Friday
I have a quick post for you tonight that showcases four new goodies from the Holiday Catalog. I really did think the purchases from the holiday catalog would be minimal….mmmm… Didn't quite turn out that way 🙂
There's a fabulous sentiment set called "Merry Little Christmas". I paired it with a new embossing folder, some new DSP and a brand new snowflake embellishment.
Here's my card:
I love the Smoky Slate card stock as a Christmas color – especially paired with the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack. 48 sheets of 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" DSP which is made up of 4 different patterns. 24 sheets with a pattern on either side and then the other 24 with different patterns. They are great if you want to make mutiples of the same card for Christmas.
I love the new snowflake embellishments and they fit perfect with this DSP. Of course, I had to add to the bling and used my gelly roller on the MERRY… just couldn't resist it :-) I tried this card with Coastal Cabana…. but it's just too bright a color for me, so I did it again with the Smoky Slate and was much happier with the end product.
On a personal note:
Charlie is back to normal. He didn't leave my side last night and slept stretched out next to me on the bed. If I got up, he got up. He really was more than a little traumatised poor thing. As for Lou, well, he woke up this morning at 5.30am with a throbbing finger, but has so far refused to be dragged to the clinic. I'm keeping a very close watch on it, though!
We've seen two lots of "babies" at the feeders today. Lou saw a female Oriole feeding a young one and I saw a turkey hen with a single poult. It's the first we have seen this year.
The black eyed Susan's are starting to come into full bloom and it makes me so happy looking at them. I'll take some photos this weekend and will share them on Sunday.
As always, thank you for visiting my little neck of the stamping woods. You know I appreciate your visits and your comments. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Beautiful card once again Jaydee. Nice soothing card to look at and that embellishment is really pretty and sets the whole card off nicely.
Have a fun and enjoyable weekend

I agree with Colleen, beautiful Jaydee. The embellishment really is the focal point and looks great with the matching dsp. I do like the soft colors you chose. I think you always make the prettiest tag cards. It’s a gift you have!
So happy to hear the update on your fella’s. Wishing for a quick recovery for Lou as that must be so painful.
Hope you have an enjoyable weekend. We have some gorgeous weather here in Ohio. Hope you do as well.
I can see where the Coastal Cabana would be a bit bright. The Smoky Slate is very peaceful and I love the DSP and the bling. They’re wonderful!
I’m praying Lou’s finger is better and not infected. The shape of cats’ teeth are such that they create wounds filled with bacteria from the surface of the skin.
Meanwhile, I’m happy to hear Charlie has recovered. Poor kitty boy. :o(
How fun to see babies at the feeders! I’m such a sucker for my gardens and birds (and wildlife, actually) these days. I could sit and watch my yard for hours. I was buzzed by a hummer as I was bringing out the feeder this morning, lol! Hooray for nature! (Minus the ‘skeeters!)
Hugs!
P.S. Lou, be really careful of that finger!
Oh, that embellishment is just perfect and elegant and sparkly and, and, and… Can you hear just a hint of snowflake envy going on here?
How I do envy you your birds. Although, as a child, we had a nesting pair of orioles each year, they were some distance from our house, and I don’t ever remember seeing the babies. What a treat for you. Of course, you DO cater to your feathered friends, so it’s only right that they reward you.
What did you use for the tag?
