Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday
I saw this great sketch across at casethissketch

Its a really CAS sketch with a couple of key elements: the vertical stripe and the circle. It took me a little while, but I remembered some DSP that I had seen in the This and That collection and realized it would work wonderfully with the new Perfect Blend stamp set. It did mean moving the circular element to the bottom instead of the top, but that's the way the DSP needed to go for me to put the coffee cup.
Here's my take on the sketch
I stamped the coffee cup onto water color paper base and colored it with my blender pen and inks. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the coffee holder portion. All that was needed, was to fussy cut around the coffee cup and mount it over the coffee rings using dimensionals. For the vertical element, I used some of the fabulous Crumb Cake washi tape that comes with the This and That bundle. I must admit, I was really quite pleased with how it came out. It's clean and simple, has lots of detail from the DSP and washi tape and has a little height because of the popped up coffee cup.
On a personal note:
its very late here, way past 8pm and I haven't had dinner yet, or fed the cats! So, this will be a very short post!
As always, thank you for stopping by my neck of the woods and a shout out to Colleen. I really love reading your comments first thing in the morning. thank you!
Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS(E) this Sketch this week!
A jolly good morning to y’all.
Oh, love your card and what a nice little touch on the coffee rings, along with a very nice sentiment. Great job.

LOVE that stamp! What a perfect expression for us coffee addicts (as I drink my second cup this morning). Ha!
Wonderful! I do so love that coffee cup. :o)
How in the world were you able to post without the kitties dying of hunger, and making sure you were aware of the fact they were dying of hunger? If we go a minute past six, you can bet your bottom dollar the kitty boys are plaintively letting me know they are going to wither away to nothing. ;oP
Hugs!
